My New Year in Kranj

For the last few days when I was meeting people, I had same conversation over and over again:
A:Where are you celebrating New Year?
B:*****
A:Great! So have fun there. Enjoy your holidays...yada,yada,yada,da

I was getting tired of New Year celebration even before it actually came... What so special about New Year anyway???

I almost decided to stay at home and go to bed early, but friend convinced me to go to student dormitory in Kranj.

We've started party in one room and it began to look like a good party. Then we went arround the dormitory, to see other people, other parties. It was just getting better, since I met some old friends, that I wasn't expecting. For midnight some people went to the city to see fireworks. I stayed in dormitory... we had our own fireworks!!!

Then midnight came... fireworks, running arround and shaking hands with everyone, hugging everyone, sharing best wishes with everyone...
I remember I was talking with some guy I didn't even know from before. He told me: 'I love New Years. It doesn't matter if we know each other from before, now we are together and we all want to have fun, we all want the best year for each other.' That's when I realised why New Year party is differnt that any normal Saturday evening party. It was like the guy said. Positive energy was floating arround. I felt like in the end of some AIESEC conference.

We've continued party with great spirit we had. I don't know exactly when we finished, but it was really good. It would be great if we could save some of that spirit for all parties during the year.
