The year is coming to a close
As our term is ending, I would like to tell you all that I may not be happy with everything I did in Slovenia, I may not have achieved all the results I would have liked and I may not have significantly changed Slovenian society for years to come. But I do feel that I have made many new relationships that I will cherish for the rest of my life, and I will never forget the learning, the laughing and the loving that I did here.
I am leaving Slovenia on Monday, June 12. I won't get the chance to see all the friends I have made in Europe before I leave but I want you all to know you will all be invited to my wedding (whenever that is). In fact, my new goal is to get rich enough that you can all come and I can pay for it. Well, let's say that's more of a dream than a goal.
To the LCs of Slovenia, I still have @ shirts for you if you can impress me in the next two weeks, and other stuff that you may be interested in. To the incoming MC, this blog will soon be yours! Take good care of it! To everyone else, thank you for being with me during my time in Slovenia, even if you weren't here in Europe, you have still been there to support me.
Yours most AIESECly,
Chris Haynes

For the LCs
To the LCs of AIESEC in Slovenia,
I, Chris Haynes, have a number of @ shirts that I would
like to give away to LCs who show me they are living AIESEC's values. Some examples could be
sending away all your SNs with leadership experience,
organising a great global village for NALDS,
a clearly financially sustainable LC,
being the @ entity (MC, LC or OC) that raises the most money for NALDS or TJ4TT,
best roll call,
maybe accompany that with a motivation letter on why you deserve an @ shirt.
Please do not fight over these shirts among the LCs. I may have some other things I would like to give you too.
Yours sincerely,
Chris

One door closes, many other open
Hey everyone....
Have you ever read one of those advanture or treasure hunt books??? the ones that have many different endings, based on the paths and choices that you make during reading. that jusmps from page to page. it always takes you on a place that you have never imagined. that is the whole beauty about it.
i think that life is like that kind of book. you chose your path, and you never know where the path is going to take you. always there is something good and something bad on the page that you are going to end up. always stick to the good things.
its important to reach your goals. and the strenght is to find another way, if the first choise doesnt work. never to give up, and feel sorry about your self. maybe you cannot see the way how to do it, but if you continue, for sure it will come out. you are going to figure it out.
it worked for me.
so many doors opened for me that its amazing...and i can reach all the goals that i had and still have...
but couple of good ones came out from the thing that i havent got elected.
1. i can finish faculty. i can go home for 6 months and finish what i have started. being in AI disables you to study cause you are full time.
2. Vacation. i havent been 3 years on a beach and cathing some tan:).
3. internship. if i go to someof the companies that is interested in our market and me, i can solve the career question for good.
this makes sence for me. and its making me happy. reaching the same and even more goals on different way.
sometimes i have the feeling that everything in life happens for a reason. you just have to take most of it. and feel happy about it.
here is a quote that takes my breath away everytime that i read it.
"Life is a jorney, not a destination" - Stiven Tyler"AEROSMITH
Makes me look at my life from totaly different perspective. hope you have a way to do the same things for you too.
take care all

IPM update
Hey AIESEC Slovenia!!! Here you have picture of PAI candidates as I promised before. Of course you allready know who PAI elect is and here you can see his announcement.
Let's wish to Dey and to all of us succesfull year.
Now PAIe is really busy with interviews with candidates for directors and VPs. I will remind you again to keep your fingers cross for Darko.
And others... we were busy also. We've started with global planning, which is next important part of our agenda and today we had CEE GN planning. My pictures are still on camera, so I can't give them to you yet, but don't worry... you'll see everything. For now I'm giving you one picture from plannery.Do you remember Culture survey, we had couple of weeks ago. The picture is from session where we recived results from that survey and results were quite interesting and important for global planning. So, you see... surveys are important ;)
Enjoy till next update
Yours IPM delegation
To be or not to be.
2 hours before the interview. one month exactly after i send the application. sitting in my hotel room meditating about the things that i want to say to the selection pannel. this morning i woke up with a headacke. i guess the two conferences finally catched up on me. i am sick and tired and with interview to come.
but this is not changing anything. it is not decreasing my motivation. because i know that great things dont come easy in life. you have to fight for them.
and even if you dont get them, you will feel satisfied with you self that you did your best, and feel proud about it.
looking forward to the interview to "kick some ass",
from your MC corner in Netherlands,
Darko

Greetings from Netherlands!!!
So finally some time to update you of what's happening in IPM in Netherlands.
After some challenges in the journey, whole team finally managed to come to Netherlands safe. We've started with pre-meeting wich was quite succesfull. You'll have to wait for more about that by the time we return.
Then we had official start and opening of conference.... check pictures
And what's happening now?
Currently whole IPM and probably AIESEC in the whole World is excited about AI elections, so little update about that:
There are 3 candidates for PAI: Edyson Dos Santos - Dey (Africa GN - director), Peter Heinzl (Austria - MCP) and Taco Bosman (WENA GN - director). Results will be known today in the evening, so we wish luck to all of them and let the best kandidate win. I wanted to give you a picture of them, but I don't have it on USB :(
After that there will be selection of AI directors and VPs. It's gonna be interesting and intense procedure, since there is lots of candidates (18 for directors & I don't know exact number for VPs, but I know it's alot).
AI directors will be selected by Monday and VPs by Thursday. Our MCVP, Darko is running for AIVP Communications, so keep your fingers cross!!!
That is all for now from IPM. But don't worry... there is lots of things happening here and there will be more interesting updates and pictures from our side.
See you soon!!!
